TRAINING DIRECTOR

Drew DeMarie

drew.demarie@comentoring.org

Drew is passionate about education, mentoring, leadership and outdoor pursuits. Drew has been involved with nonprofits for the last 15 years at nearly every level: executive, program staff, recruiter, intern, and volunteer. Drew most recently led Colorado Youth at Risk (CYAR) as Executive Director through one of the toughest periods its history from 2014-2016. He piloted the organization from “set-to-close-its-doors” to a revitalization of its programs, operations and finances. Drew was also a part of and then led the CYAR program staff from 2009-2014. Furthermore, he volunteered for nearly six years with CYAR as a mentor, facilitator and mentor trainer. Before CYAR, Drew was the first Executive Director of the Colorado Alliance for Drug Endangered Children; where his “jack-of-all-trades” nature was well utilized; doing everything from building offices to fundraising and running programs. Prior to nonprofit work, Drew was Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach for 8 years; founding the Metropolitan State University Denver program and later reviving the Regis University Men’s team.
