History

Mentor Colorado (formerly Colorado Mentoring Partnership) was founded in April 2014 by the passion and vision of a number of grassroots organizations implementing mentoring programs.  These organizations established the partnership from a smaller Denver-based collaboration started by the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships in 2006 called the Youth Mentoring Collaborative. This collaboartive was later housed under Mile High United Way before transitioning to a statewide collective network under the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center bringing with it a number of processes, committees, and over 9 years of successful collaboration for mentoring in Denver.
